After a whole day of being teases, Paramount and Marvel have finally released the full trailer for this summer’s ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ and I’m totally stoked. Lets hope the script is solid and there’s plenty of ass-kicking after Cap gets his makeover. I don’t think that’s too much to ask, and if they can deliver on those two points with the style they’re showing in this trailer, we’re in for a swell time.

What do you think of the trailer? One gripe I have is that it looks like they went overboard with the skinny Steve. He looks like he’s about ten years old. Couldn’t he at least have been tall and skinny?

… we’re back! I was swamped with work but someone slapped me repeatedly, Daniel Plainview style, to make me realize I’d abandoned the blog. Well in the coming weeks we’ll be back in full force, with a couple new authors, an amazing new logo, and the official podcast, so hold tight.

Entertainment Weekly has the scoop on this new image of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull in the upcoming Captain America movie. I love that it still looks like Hugo Weaving, and can’t wait to see/hear him in action.

Fellow guitar players: are you worried about how you’ll carry your 6-string come Halloween when you’re sporting your best Captain America: The First Avenger costume? I know I am. Luckily Whipping Post Leather has us covered.

Their line of leather guitar cases are insanely expensive and remind me of the the upcoming leather-and-pouch-covered superhero film. The case above retails for $825, but it doesn’t look like a hard case. That’s a lot of dough for the equivalent of a fancy gig bag.

The one good thing about the Super Bowl every year (in my opinion) is that we get a few new movie trailers to watch, and this year has quite a few. This commercial teaser for Captain America: The First Avenger is the one I was looking forward to most, as it’s the first footage to premier anywhere. I think it looks awesome, and I’m still very excited about this one. The pre-super-soldier Steve Rogers looks amazing puny, and I was surprised they included a quick shot of the Red Skull.

Entertainment Weekly has a brand-spanking new image of Chris Evans in full Captain America costume for an upcoming issue, and we’ve got a sneak peek via a scan of the magazine image from their website. I think this costume looks great, especially considering most of the film takes place in WWII, and the plot involves Captain America being involved with the USO to some extent. It looks great and it’s a relief to see a superhero costume that’s not made out of leather for a change.

All these new images are making me really look forward to the first teaser, but what do you think?
