Nostalgia Packs now Available on Amazon!

nostalgiapacks

Hey there! Long time no see. Life got pretty hectic in THS headquarters and I haven’t had much time to think about the blog, but hopefully that will change after the holidays. In the meantime, I wanted to fill you in on something cool in case you haven’t heard any of my other shameless plugs. Nostalgia Packs are now available on Amazon Prime!

I realized I didn’t have time to leave Boxsome open as an on-again-off-again webstore, but that making a standardized Nostalgia Pack and selling them on Amazon could be a fun experiment. So far it has been. I’ve sold quite a few on there, and hopefully people are enjoying them. Selling on Amazon is pretty easy, but getting feedback and reviews is hard, so if you decide to get a Nostalgia Pack, please leave a product review and a seller review and I’d be super grateful!

These Nostalgia Packs are basically a grab bag, but come with:

  • Two random wax packs (Think Nintendo, TMNT, Alf, etc)
  • 1 foil pack (Bill Nye, Power Rangers, Bill & Ted, etc)
  • Random loose cards and stickers
  • Pogs!

I wanted to launch these before Christmas because I think they make fun gifts for geeks like us, and since they’re available via Amazon Prime, you can probably order them all the way up to the 22nd or something and still get them in time.

They are low in stock at the moment but I have a big box that should be at Amazon’s warehouse today or tomorrow, so there should be plenty soon!

Check them out on Amazon

If I don’t post again before Christmas, have a great holiday!

Vintage Valentines Cards!

Vintage Valentines!

This year I finally remembered to do something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time before it was too late. For a while I’ve been hoarding unopened Valentine’s Day card boxes from the 80s and 90s, with the intention of just giving them out to people. For some reason I always forget to get it going before it’s too late, but this year I am on top of it. I ordered a bunch of new Valentine’s and have been preparing for a massive Vintage Valentines Giveaway!

It’s not a contest or anything, I just want to send you Valentines. I am pretty obsessed with vintage stuff and I get a kick out of seeing Valentines cards from when I was younger, and I figured that a lot of you would too. Who doesn’t remember decorating your cereal box and getting bombarded with cards in elementary school? I remember saving the most awesome cards in each box for my best friends and crushes.

Stickygram + Top Hat Sasquatch Christmas Toy Photo Contest!

Posted 7 years ago by Stuff

Stickygram

I love Stickygram, and I have ordered a few magnet sheets of my Instagram shots over the last couple years. It’s really easy to connect your IG account, select your photos, and get some awesome magnets in the mail. The fine folks at Stickygram are teaming up with Top Hat Sasquatch for a little Instagram contest, and three lucky winners will get a sheet of magnets (9 individual magnets).

I thought it would be fun to have a little Christmas-themed toy photo contest. All you have to do is post a Christmas-themed photo of some toys, tag @TopHatSasquatch and @Stickygram, and then use the hashtag #StickygramTHS. You’ve got until Monday, December 16th to get your photo posted, and then I’ll pick three winners.

You could recreate a scene from your favorite Christmas movie using toys, turn some old toys into ornaments like I did a few years ago, or anything else you can think of. Be creative!

You can only enter once, so focus on making one awesome photo instead of a bunch, and we’ll pick the winners based on which ones are our favorites! Good luck!

All I Want for Christmas is This Sasquatch Ornament

Xmas Sasquatch

I posted a sasquatch Christmas ornament last year but didn’t get to snag one because they sold out quickly. Well, as I was putting together the Top Hat Sasquatch Christmas Store, I found this ‘Holiday Yeti Ornament’ and it is even better than the first one. Seriously, look at it! Give it a bubble pipe and it could pass for our mascot.

Oh, and did I mention there is now a Top Hat Sasquatch Christmas Store? It’s an embedded Amazon store full of products we think are cool, and if you buy things from there we get a small kickback that will go towards paying for booze toys our server.

Let’s Help Kickstart a ‘Cool and Collected’ Magazine

Cool and Collected

Well, this is awesome. Brian Adams of Cool and Collected has been planning a really-for-real magazine project and just launched a Kickstarter campaign to get it off the ground. Brian is an excellent graphic designer and obviously knows how to lay out a magazine. Look at those comps, they look gorgeous!

The magazine will cover collectors and their collections. Brian has a knack for finding people with awesome collections, and is also the head hauncho of The League of Extraordinary Bloggers, so he shouldn’t have a problem finding a steady stream of contributors. I think the idea of a magazine for collectors funded and created by collectors sounds great, and I can’t wait to read it. Here’s the Kickstarter video:
