TMNT Classic Collection Action Figures now on Amazon

2012 TMNT Classic Line

When I first heard about the TMNT Classic Collection action figures a few months ago I was super excited, but the release date seemed so far away. Well, it’s getting closer to August, but if you want to jump the gun and get your retro TMNT fix you can order them right now on Amazon, just for a few dollars more than retail.

Thanks to Newton Gimmick over at Infinite Hollywood for tipping me off. At only $6/more a figure and free shipping thanks to Amazon Prime, I’m very tempted to pull the trigger on these. I would almost pay $6 to not have to search all the toy stores in Indianapolis looking for these guys in August.

Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are all available now at $20 a pop.

Ultimately I may end up buying these guys twice, because they look perfect and I want this series to sell like hotcakes so we can get more characters done in this high quality. Seriously, how cool would Bebop & Rocksteady, Shredder, Slash, or Baxter Stockman look in this line?

Would you be willing to pay an extra few bucks to get them early, or are you going to wait?

    Bought em off Amazon and the new Nick figures. I have a trial prime membership so the free 2 day shipping is a winner plus I am a TMNT nerd so I couldn’t wait. Living in VT there are not many box stores around so more than likely I would have had to get them online in the end.

    The figures are incredible, everything you could want. my one gripe is with Donnies apparent issue with his lazy eye, but that seems to be widespread. I will buy duplicates of these to support the line and hope for more of these to get made down the line!

    Lastly the new Nick figures are really great. Pose-able, nice size, good color, and affordability will spur sales on these. Good job Playmates!

    • Mine just came in from Amazon and I’m blown away. Even though they seem a bit huge, these are perfect TMNT toys to me, and I hope this series does well so we can see more. I plan on buying doubles too to help out. I can’t wait to get some photos of these and put up a review.

      What characters would you like to see in series 2?

        2nd series? Gotta be Casey Jones, Shredder, April, and Krang with Android body. Really I want so many but this is my wish list. You?

        • Bebop and Rocksteady, Shredder, Casey Jones, and actually, a cartoon-accurate version of Splinter would be pretty awesome. I wonder how well these need to sell for Playmates to move forward with it.

            Good question. I think the fan base is strong enough to support this going forward, I for one will buy multiples. If MOTU Classics can now sell for over $25 a pop plus shipping I would imagine the price on the TMNT Classics would be no issue for collectors, and honestly the articulation is better on the TMNT!
