Big news today out of the Licensing Expo. Disney has officially announced that Pete Docter’s next film will indeed be a sequel to Monsters Inc! They announced the film under secrecy, but I guess you just can’t trust anyone these days, because word got out immediately. I’m pretty happy about this because a) Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite Pixar films b) Pete Docter just proved he is improving with each picture with his masterpiece Up.

Most likely this will come out in 2012 or 2013, but I can’t wait!

TMNT Smash Up Trailer

Posted 11 years ago by Games

Here’s the first official trailer for TMNT Smash Up, fresh out of E3. The gameplay looks pretty fun, but the design looks like a smash up of the 2007 TMNT film and the modern animated series. I don’t see much of an opportunity for additional characters, but I guess we’ll find out in the fall.

Pixar’s 10th Film Up – A Review

I saw Up last night at Midnight, and my mind is still reeling. I’m a huge Pixar Fanboy and have been ever since I saw Toy Story as a ten year old. Their dedication to story is incredible, and their films are all wonderful.

I’ll try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible. I’ll assume you’ve seen the previews.

I can never decide on a favorite Pixar film because they’re each so perfect in their own ways, but Monsters Inc. definitely has a certain charm that I always want to go back and see again. Thats why my wife and I were super excited to see Up, Pete Docter’s follow up to Monsters Inc.

Even though I wasn’t born until the 80s, I grew up watching plenty of Saturday Morning Cartoons from the 60s and 70s. In the age of DVD season sets, it’s easy to forget the appeal of sitting down with a bowl of cereal and watching a huge variety of cartoons back-to-back. Well, Warner Bros. has us covered with Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960s Vol. 1 and Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1970s Vol. 1, which are going to be available on May 26th.

Warner Bros. has been putting out some great DVD sets (the Superman box), and it sounds like they have a ton more coming soon. Be sure to check out the official site to find out what else is available.

They were kind enough to send me review copies, so read on for the full review.
