up

To celebrate the release of Pixar’s 10th film Up, Saturday Morning Central is giving away three copies of the Up Little Golden Book.

I’ve been collecting these Pixar Little Golden Books since “Your Friend the Rat” and they are filled with wonderful art.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post with a valid email address, and the three winners will be selected randomly on Monday, June 1st at 5:00pm EST.

Update

We have our winners! Congratulations to SpaceMonkeyX, Xevia, and Jennifer T! Their books will be in the mail tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for playing!

I have been a fan of The Little Golden Books my entire life (Post age 5 when I started to learn to read.) I’ve been collecting them since and still have all my originals from my childhood. That was twenty-five years ago.

Random House is actually elebrating their the 65th anniversary of Golden Books and I am looking forward to their 75th anniversary.

The “Up” Little Golden Book looks like it will one day be a classic for my granschildren many years from now as Snow White, peter Pan and the other Dinsey books are now classisc for me.

The cover looks amazing, I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy to read it.

Oh for anyone wanting a link to the “Up” official site. it is:

    http://www.pixar.com/featurefilms/up/

EDIT: Please disregard the typos above. I find it ironic that reading the golden books made me want to become a Children’s book author, yet I have trouble editing/checking my work before finalizing it.

It would seem that I am an editor’s nightmare.

Up is a wonderful movie and the art, as with all Disney and Pixar films, is amazing. The Up Little Golden Book would be a nice item to have.

I’ll be seeing the movie in 3D on Wednesday. I’m very excited and my friends have loved it. In fact, I haven’t heard a bad thing about the flick so far. :)
