X-MEN Volumes 3 and 4 DVD Review

X-Men

If there’s one cartoon from my childhood that I had been dying to go back to, but never got around to it, it is definitely X-Men. To me, X-Men was an after-school staple in the 90s. I loved the animation style and the action, as well as the 2-4 part series’ that frequented the show. The series ran from 1992 to 1997, and aired on Fox Kids, and later was syndicated on the Disney XD.

Back in April, Volumes 1 and 2 of X-Men were released on DVD, and last week Disney followed up with Volume 3 and Volume 4.

Where the Wild Things Are Art Gallery Show

Terrible Yellow Eyes

Chalk this up as another thing that makes me wish I lived in California, where things that interest me actually happen occasionally. The always-awesome Gallery Nucleus is running a Where the Wild Things Are art show from September 19th to October 6th. The show is called Terrible Yellow Eyes, and is curated by Cory Godbey of the website with the same name.

Expect a lot more Wild Things coverage on the site from now until October, then we’ll let the wild rumpus that is Halloween take over!

Update: – They have the preorders up, and there is a Sideshow exclusive version of Donatello with a purple bandana, instead of the red comic book version!

Beatles Rockband: Best Video Game Intro Ever?

Posted 11 years ago by Games

I love the Beatles, and this intro to the Beatles Rockband is possibly the coolest video game intro I’ve ever seen. Sadly, this is probably the only way I’ll ever see it, because I’m not a fan $250 video games, and I’d much rather play Beatles songs for real (shameless plug).

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Looks Awesome

Posted 11 years ago by Movies

I don’t know about you, but I think this looks awesome. I love the style, and I’m super pumped about he cast. Tim Daly is back as Superman, Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. I haven’t read the comic, so it’ll all be new to me when I watch it. All I know is that a ton of superheroes all try to claim a bounty on Superman and Batman. That’s about all I need to know.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies comes out on September 29th on DVD and Blu-ray.
