Michael Bay to Ruin New TMNT Film

Posted 10 years ago by Movies

Oh great, it looks like Paramount has handed over the new TMNT live action movie to production studio Platinum Dunes. Dunes was created in 2001 by non-other than Mr. Lets-Ruin-Your-Childhood, Michael Bay, along with a couple other guys.

Thankfully right now Bay is just listed as a producer, but the prospect of a cool new TMNT movie is getting a lot more grim for me. Lets just hope Nickelodeon realizes the gold mine they have with Alex Deligiannis as an employee, and let him create an awesome 80s-throwback cartoon.

The Simpsons Cartoon Studio

Posted 10 years ago by Games

One of my many failed attempts at animation in my younger days involved the Simpsons Cartoon Studio. I was just thinking about it the other day and had to look it up on YouTube. It was a collection of backgrounds, animated sprites, music, sound effects, and props that let you create your own Simpsons “episodes.”

I never did much with it, but I was much more into creating horrible stop-motion animation with toys. Maybe someday I’ll dig some of it up just to further prove that I’m a dork.

There were lots of games like this in the 90s, did you have any? Mario Paint perchance?

Avatar Blu-ray Review

This has been a long-time coming, but I just recently got my hands on a copy of the Avatar Blu-ray/DVD Combo from Fox. It’s a bare-bones release with no special features (the “ultimate” edition is coming out around the holiday season this year) but if you’re a big Avatar fan, it’s still worth a purchase.

S’MURDER Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Shirt from TeeFury

Posted 10 years ago by Movies, Shirts

TeeFury is the site that features one cheap shirt with a great design every 24 hours, and today’s is particularly awesome. S’MURDER by David Schwen depicts the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man made into everyone’s favorite campfire food, S’mores.

I don’t know where the Ghostbusters would find graham crackers or a chocolate bar that big, but if they did I’d be there.

Joey Ellis’ TMNT Art

In addition to making awesome Twitter Avatars, Joey Ellis has been busy creating this set of TMNT illustrations that I now badly want on the wall in my office.

Suggestions for future doodles: Ace Duck, The Rat King, and Fugitoid. Any suggestions from you?
