Freddie Wong’s The Future of Gaming?

Posted 9 years ago by Videos

Filmmaker Freddie Wong imagines the future of gaming as an alternate reality shooter with a slick heads-up display. In his clever video we see a really cool sci-fi scenario being played out. Could we all be gearing up for back-alley shoot outs in a few years? If it has to involve the poorly received PlayStation Movie, I’m guessing the answer is “no.”

If you visualized the contents of the Internet in the form of a pie chart, the two largest portions would be cat videos and discussions about Star Wars. This video intersects both subjects with cute and hilarious results.

Watch This: The 1944 Captain America Serial

Posted 9 years ago by Movies

I thoroughly enjoyed the new Captain America movie. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that I loved it. Since seeing it I’ve been absorbing the character in as many ways as I can, through cartoons, the movie from the 90s, and now the 1944 serial. The story hardly has anything to do with the Captain America you know and love, but it’s an interesting piece of geek history.

Make sure to stick around until the 4:40 mark or so to hear a scientist say “How did you find out about my vibrator?”

Mario Bros. and Link Get Super Cute

Posted 9 years ago by Art

DeviantART user and Tumblr-er Demiurgic has a lot of great art on her sites, but I can’t stop going back to her versions of the Mario Bros. and Link. They’re just too cute. I love the style of her work, I just wish she had some prints available.

Be sure to check out all her pieces, she’s got everything from a super cute surfing Pikachu to Ed and Shaun and the TMNT. Keep up the awesome work Becky!
