First, a big congratulations to Melissa Dunphy for winning the coveted Best Costume of the Year Award that I just invented because this costume is so awesome. Also, I was secretly planning something like this last year but chickened out. I was going to make it out of a muscle suit.
Some Big News
I haven’t posted much lately, but there’s a good reason for that. Over the past months, I’ve wanted to change directions on the site and let it become a more general purpose geek culture/movie news blog, but I’d chosen the name Saturday Morning Central years ago. Rather than start a new blog, I decided that I’m going to completely rebrand this site under a different name, with a completely different posting style, multiple authors, a podcast, original videos, less reviews of things you’re not interested in, and more!
Everything from SMC will be imported into the new site, and this domain will redirect to the new one as to keep all my Google Juice intact. Mmm, Google Juice…
Anyway, I’m not going to announce the name until I make the switch, mostly because it’s kind of a random name, but it’s one that won’t impose any expectations on people when I tell them what my blog is called. You’ll like it. As for a timeframe, I’ve been really busy with my business lately, but I really want to get this thing going sometime in the next few weeks. Just in case this is the last post before that happens, make sure to follow me on Twitter (that account will change when the site does), and I hope you all have a great Halloween.
