Geeky Shirt Roundup: Jurassic Story & The Incredible Hulk Hogan

Geeky Shirt Roundup

I haven’t posted any t-shirts on the site for a while, mainly because I see so many great ones but dont’ want to flood your RSS feed with them. So, like Missing Links, I’ll just round up a few every once in a while and post them together, starting with these two awesome new shirts from BustedTees.

The first is Jurassic Story, a cute/clever mashup of two of my favorite movies, Jurassic Park and Toy Story. I love how Rex is smiling at Woody and doesn’t look threatening at all.

The other shirt I just added to my cart is The Incredible Hulk Hogan, and as a non-wrestling fan it’s saying a lot that I think this is cool enough to buy. Seriously, I hate wrestling, but this shirt is too cool to pass up. I kind of wish they’d left off his catchphrase, but oh well.

Seen any cool shirts lately?

‘Toy Story of Terror’ TV Special Coming Next Year

Toy Story of Terror

With a perfect trilogy of movies and a handful of charming animated shorts under their belt, the Toy Story gang will be making the transition to TV Special territory next year with Toy Story of Terror. I think TV Specials are a great idea for this group of characters, and I’m excited to see them tackling Halloween first. Here’s the official synopsis:

What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.

I don’t know who’s directing this, but Lee Unkrich is a self-proclaimed The Shining junkie, so it sounds like he was involved to some extent. Regardless, I’ll be tuning in this time next year to check it out.

Master Science Fiction author Arthur C. Clarke wrote a 31-word short story in 1984, the first he'd written in ten years, and it's about as great as you would imagine.

Cool Stuff: ‘Toy Story 3? Crew T-Shirts | /Film
I would die to own any of these, but that 'Jurassic Park' inspired shirt would get worn every day. Gladly excepting donations.

Shane Black in Contention to Write and Direct ‘Iron Man 3’ BREAK Black wrote 'The Monster Squad' as well as a bunch of 'Lethal Weapon' movies, but still, Iron Man without Jon Favreau? What do you think?

The Beauty of Pixar

The original Vimeo video stopped working, so here is a YouTube version.

Leandro Copperfield spent 11 days revisiting all of Pixar’s films, and then put together this mashup containing scenes from all of them. He did a great job, and the result is worth a gander if you’re a Pixar fan like me.

I think I need to revisit WALL-E sometime soon.
