Retro Thing: Superman’s Black-And-White Flights On The Silver Screen
I just finished a book about the history of Superman and this post was perfect timing. It’s funny what a problem taking off and landing was for old-school TV and Film techniques.

As if it wasn’t hard enough to find the LEGO Minecraft set that was released through their Kickstarter-like CUUSOO site, LEGO has just announced the next project that’s getting the really-for-real treatment is this awesome Back to the Future Delorean.

It’ll probably take forever for this to come out, but you know they’re going to sell out like crazy. I was really hoping they would make the Modular Western Town, but apparently they have a new Western theme of their own brewing and they felt it would conflict.

This time around on Bubble Pipe Theater, Rob, Tim, and Tommy discuss the NikeMag Back For the Future benefit auctions (read: pricey sneakers), the Star Wars Blu-rays (again), fictional technology we’d like to see in real life, the Walt Disney Family Museum, arcade nostalgia, Wii hacking, our current obsessions, and more.

Marty! The first trailer for Telltale Games’ Back to the Future is out and burning up the intewebs, and rightly so. It looks awesome. Granted, there’s no gameplay footage yet, but the art direction and voice acting looks great.

Christopher Lloyd is revisiting his Doc Brown character, and although Michael J. Fox isn’t joining in, it sounds like the actor they got to play his part is a pretty good choice. If the gameplay is enjoyable this game could be a great example of nostalgic properties being put to good use rather than exploited.

Wow, it’s about time. I just got an announcement in my inbox this morning that Universal is going to be releasing the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray Trilogy of the Back to the Future films on October 26th. It’s going to include two hours of new bonus features, including a six-part documentary with new interviews from the cast and crew.
