It turns out that TMNT Smash-Up isn’t the only new TMNT game coming out this year. Ninja Pizza just broke the news that there is a 3D remake of the classic Turtles In Time game in the works. A couple playable levels are traveling around with the TMNT Party Wagon on their 25th Anniversary tour! It looks like they’re basically just recreating the game with modern graphics, and even keeping the awesome music!

Ninja Pizza says that right now the game is just in developement for Xbox Live, meaning it will probably cost around $8-10. In one of the playable demos, they switched the bosses around and have Tokka and Rahzar instead of Bebop and Rocksteady, but hopefully that just means they’re still working on making their 3D models awesome.
I hope this is successful and makes people realize that there is a market for level-for-level remakes of classic games. If not, at least I can die a happy man seeing the cut-scene with Krang’s giant android body flying away with the Statue of Liberty in glorious 3D animation.
Assuming they don’t replace any bosses, here’s who we’ll have to look forward to seeing in 3d.
- Baxter Stocman
- Metalhead
- Rat King
- Tokka and Rahzar
- Slash
- Bebop and Rocksteady
- Leatherhead
- Super Krang
- Krang in a Spaceship
- Super-Shredder
I’m pretty pumped up about this news, and in all honesty I think this could be a lot more fun than the game coming out for the Wii. What are the chances we would get our retro TMNT fix from that game? A remake of Turtles in Time would do just that. Hopefully more news will be coming soon, in the meantime, I’m going to replay the game!
