Did you know LEGO is releasing a Disney Princess line in 2014? I had no idea. I’m not exactly their target market, but I can tell you that I’ve got quite a few nieces who are going to eat these sets up. Not surprisingly, the minifigures are based on the LEGO Friends line, but I don’t think they look that bad.
The first sets will be based around Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Brave.
I doubt I’ll ever buy any of these for myself or my future children, but I like the idea of more Disney LEGO sets. I just hope they’re not all based on the Friends line. In fact, if they had made Cinderella’s Castle look a little more like the theme park version, I would buy one. Or, they could just come out with a classic Disney line, featuring theme park stuff and sets based on Mickey, Donald, Goofy, etc. That would be awesome.
