Cool Stuff: High-Res, Textless Movie Posters

Robocop

File this under That escalated quickly. One minute I’m checking out this cool post on Reddit featuring a high-res, textless version of the iconic poster for RoboCop, and the next thing I know I’m browsing a hundred-page thread on Blu-ray.com featuring even more textless poster art. If you follow THS on Instagram (and really, why wouldn’t you?) you know I have an office with walls full of geek art. I’m always looking for cool stuff to frame, and I’ve had a couple things printed just based on high-res art and photos I’ve found online.

Textless Posters

I’ll leave it to you to browse the two threads (one for PG-13 and R films, the other for G and PG) to find what appeals to you most, but here are a few highlights.

These are awesome for phone wallpapers, and some are certainly high-res enough to get printed and framed.

I think I’m going to need more wall space in my office. I’ll admit, I haven’t made it through all the pages in those threads yet, so post any cool ones you may find in the comments!

  • OMG

    • On Reddit someone commented about how the RoboCop poster was painted, using photo reference and airbrushing and colored pencils. At the risk of sounding old, they sure don’t make ’em like they used to.

      • They sure don’t! Now it’s all photoshop and floating heads.

  • Well, there goes my productivity for the day.
