Justin Gammon 3NES

Check out these awesome prints our friend Justin Gammon of the awesome site Weirdo Toys is contributing to the 3NES Exhibit at Bottleneck Gallery. I’ve been hearing a lot about the 3NES show and I wish I could be in Brooklyn this weekend to check it out, but Bottleneck will start their online sales Saturday, so I’m crossing my fingers I can snag Justin’s awesome prints.

Justin created three prints inspired by Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, and they’re all awesome. Make sure to head over to his site to check out his post that explains the process behind each one.

You can keep up with the show at Bottleneck’s website and Facebook page.

Protip: Signalnoise (aka James White) also has some bitchin’ art at this show.

Alex Deligiannis’ Sketches of the Day [Instagram Roundup]

Instagram Roundup

Alex Deligiannis is a friend of the site, having designed our awesome Sasquatch, the logo for our Bubble Pipe Podcast Network, and generally being a cool dude. Recently Alex started posting one sketch a day on Instagram, and I knew right away I had to post another Instagram Roundup to show off some of his art.

He got my attention with some TMNT sketches, including badass new versions of Bebop and Rocksteady. I asked if he’d ever drawn Leatherhead, and he came through in one of his sketches soon after. I love checking Instagram and finding a new sketch every day, and you should follow @AlexDeligiannis or check out the hashtag #DeliDoodle to follow his progress.

He’s had series of Mario, TMNT, Street Fighter, and Avengers sketches, and they’re all awesome. He’s still pretty early in the project, and there’s months of great art to look forward to. You can follow Alex on Instagram, Twitter, or on his blog.

Awesome Charlie Brown/Zelda Mashup on Threadless

Posted 8 years ago by Shirts

Charlie Brown as Link

Pop culture mashups are nothing new in the t-shirt world, and often they’re more annoying than they are clever, but every once in a while someone creates one that really works and begs to be part of my shirt collection. That can be said about this great shirt up for voting on Threadless featuring Charlie Brown as Link from the Zelda games. It’s a mashup that almost seems obvious after you’ve seen it, but it was executed perfectly.

Kudos to winter_the_artist on Threadless and make sure to vote his design up so we can see it get made.

Mario Bros. and Link Get Super Cute

DeviantART user and Tumblr-er Demiurgic has a lot of great art on her sites, but I can’t stop going back to her versions of the Mario Bros. and Link. They’re just too cute. I love the style of her work, I just wish she had some prints available.

Be sure to check out all her pieces, she’s got everything from a super cute surfing Pikachu to Ed and Shaun and the TMNT. Keep up the awesome work Becky!

(Almost) Shirt of the Day: It’s Dangerous to Go Alone

It's Dangerous to Go Alone by kerTrek

Everyone loves a good mash-up. You make two great things exponentially greater by combining them. Especially when those two things are Star Wars and Zelda.

That’s what Deviantart member kerTrek did with this fabulous design. Luke and Obi-wan star in this 8-bit graphic creation along with the iconic line from the original Legend of Zelda game.

The only problem with this design is that it’s not officially a shirt yet. kerTrek has submitted it to TeeFury so we’ll have to wait for its eventual release. It’s our only hope.
