Five hundred posts. Wow, that’s kind of cool. Even though I’ve been blogging here in one form or another for six years, the site has only been going consistently for around three or four. Rather than letting the milestone slip by unannounced I thought it would be fun to take a little trip down memory lane and revist some moments from Top Hat Sasquatch/Saturday Morning Central’s history, clip-show style.

In the past few years I’ve met some awesome people through this site (and through shamelessly promoting it on Twitter). Some people ended up joining the cause to blog and podcast with me, and I met plenty of people who run awesome blogs and podcasts of their own. I never would have guessed you could meet so many cool people by running a tiny geek blog.

This week I got a mystery package in the mail from SpaceMonkeyX himself, Rob Lammle. I wasn’t sure what was inside, but I was pleasantly surprised to find some awesome buttons featuring our mascot! It turns out that Rob’s crafty wife Andrea made them herself, and they turned out great. I’ll be ordering more from her soon, so if you’d like your very own Top Hat Sasquatch button, stay tuned!

Site Update: There will be some exciting changes to the site next week, as well as a very cool interview coming up on Bubble Pipe Theater, so stay tuned for that too!

Welcome to Top Hat Sasquatch, formerly called Saturday Morning Central. Things have been pretty quiet around here lately, but as of today, we’re ready to kick the site into high gear. You’ll notice we now have an amazing illustration in our header by the awesome Alex Deligiannis. Besides the new design, we’re excited to start posting fun and geeky content again as well as getting the podcast started, which is called Bubble Pipe Theater.

Yesterday I launched the newest (and hopefully improved) design for Saturday Morning Central. December 14th was kind of an important day for the site because it marked the one year anniversary of what I like to call SMC Prime, or, the not-launching-the-site-and-only-running-it-for-a-month version.
