‘Kraang Lab Escape’ and ‘Baxter Robot Rampage’ LEGO Sets Look Awesome

Kraang Lab Escape

The chunk of change I need to stash away for the TMNT LEGO sets next year keeps getting bigger. All the sets in the first wave have officially been revealed now, and they’re pretty great. If you’re like me, you appreciate the smaller, cheaper LEGO kits when they’re done right. Sets like Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown and the Superman/Power Armor Lex come to mind.

Well, most of the stuff from the new LEGO TMNT line we’ve seen so far has looked pricey, so it’s a relief to see sets like Kraang Lab Escape and Baxter Robot Rampage. They look like a lot of fun, and they come with some sweet minifigs. From Bricks to Bothans has a roundup of all the sets, but these two might be my favorites.

Cool Stuff: LEGO McDonald’s Mecha

Big MaK

Regular old McDonald’s food in LEGO form would be cool enough to warrant posting on the site, but take that a thousand steps further and make a Mecha made out of LEGO McDonald’s food and you’ve got a guaranteed spot on the site.

The Big MaK by Siercon and Coral should be licensed by McDonald’s for their Happy Meals, but I doubt we’ll get that lucky. For now we’ll just have to admire their work through the Internets.

Wait, There’s a LEGO Batman Movie?

Posted 8 years ago by Movies

No, I’m not talking about the (hopefully) awesome actual-movie that comes out in 2014, I’m talking about a direct-to-Blu-ray movie in the same vein as the LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace thing that was way better than it needed to be.

I didn’t recognize many voice actors but Clancy Brown was definitely Lex Luthor, which makes me happy. This comes out in early 2013 and I can’t wait.

Seeing Superman be a dick in LEGO form sounds fun.

This Unofficial LEGO Party Wagon is the Coolest Thing I’ve Seen All Week

LEGO Party Wagon

On the heels of LEGO’s official TMNT announcement (complete with a Shellraiser van set), EuroBricks user LegoJalex has released photos of his retro TMNT Party Wagon LEGO set, and it is amazing. I never would have thought the Party Wagon would translate so well into brick form, but it did. With the help of some decals, LegoJalex created the perfect vehicle to carry your LEGO Ninja Turtles around in after they come out next year.

If we could only get our hands on some instructions and a parts list, I’m sure a lot of TMNT geeks would be rushing to the LEGO Store to get all the supplies needed to build this one.

He totally gets bonus points for building a mini ‘toy’ version for his minifigures to play with.

Check out more photos over at EuroBricks.

LEGO TMNT Minifigs

LEGO went ahead and released photos of their TMNT sets and after I picked my jaw up off the floor I knew I had to post them. First off, the Turtles look great, even though they’re all the same shade of green. Raphael is perfect.

The Shredder is totally badass and may be one of my favorite minifigs ever.

There have to be a few more sets in the works, and I can’t wait to see what they are. I’m sure there will be some kind of Sewer Lair set, as well as a Foot Clan and/or Kraang headquarters. I’m sure we’ll find out soon. In the meantime, what do you guys think?
