Classic TV Shows Get 8-Bit Treatment in New Video

Posted 9 years ago by Videos

Here’s proof that everything is done better with 8-bit graphics and chiptunes. Witness this “Fox Retro” video created by production company PUNGA. It reimagines classic ’80s TV shows like Happy Days, Diff’rent Strokes, and The A-Team as lo-res video game graphics. They get mashed up with the likes of Pac-Man, Galaga and Donkey Kong.

It's Dangerous to Go Alone by kerTrek

Everyone loves a good mash-up. You make two great things exponentially greater by combining them. Especially when those two things are Star Wars and Zelda.

That’s what Deviantart member kerTrek did with this fabulous design. Luke and Obi-wan star in this 8-bit graphic creation along with the iconic line from the original Legend of Zelda game.

The only problem with this design is that it’s not officially a shirt yet. kerTrek has submitted it to TeeFury so we’ll have to wait for its eventual release. It’s our only hope.

Video Games in Extra-Hard Mode

That’s what this video from animator Volker Thimm asks. The results are pretty hilarious. The new twist on Frogger has to be my favorite.
